While most of us take some time on Thanksgiving to be thankful, I want to take a moment on this sunny June 11th to reflect just how blessed I am. Today was the last day of school before celebrating summer break. My kids left the school with hugs from their teachers, new knowledge in their brains and lots of excitement and memories shared with their friends. O yeah, and my youngest got to hit a piñata! I was especially thankful when she suggested I put a couple pieces of candy in my pocket to share with her brother after school. Kid you not, without me proposing this idea to her first. These moments make up for the bickering I get to enjoy on some other days!
After school, we drove to a theater at a community college about a half an hour away where my daughter had a dance performance. She has worked hard all year towards mastering this new skill: tap dance. I was so proud of her getting onto the stage and showing us all the cool new moves she learned.
It was an eventful day and needless to say, I'm tired. But the content, thankful kind of tired. I'm off to get some rest so we can enjoy a lovely first day of summer break tomorrow. But before I sign off, here is my most recent design in the shop. It's all about fun in the sun: swimming, snorkeling, swim team.... whatever your plans are this summer, enjoy every minute of it! If you like this design, please don't forget to share it by clicking the little social media buttons! Thank you!
