I love sloths! I had the opportunity to see sloths in the wild on an amazing trip to Costa Rica many years ago before we had kids. We are planning on going on another trip to Costa Rica within the next year. This time we want to share this wonderful experience of seeing wildlife in their natural environment with our kids. So much better than the zoo!
Out of all the animals we encountered in Costa Rica on our last trip (which included an eye lash pit viper snake!) the sloth really stands out in my mind. They are just fascinating creatures, reminding us to enjoy the simple things in life and to slow down! Quite appropriate as I recently threw out my back (again!) and I'm writing this blog post to you from my bed snuggled up with ice packs...
Sloths seem to have an always present smile on their faces. They mostly eat tree leaves and sleep the manority of the day. Even though you would expect they make an easy prey being so slow, they are well camouflaged and therefore not easily noticed by predators. In other words, they do an excellent job playing hide-and-seek!
I hope you enjoy this new design as we approach summer. May your summer be filled with lazy, sunny days!
What are the simple things in life you enjoy in summer? Are you good at balancing your life or do you find it hard to slow down? Please share your thoughts!
